Gruesome Murder Shocks Mumbai: Woman Chopped into Pieces by Live-in Partner

Mumbai was rocked by yet another horrifying crime as a 36-year-old woman was allegedly murdered and dismembered by her live-in partner in Mira Road. The accused, identified as Manoj Sahani (56), was apprehended while attempting to flee his rented apartment, where the police discovered 13 body parts. Shockingly, Sahani had reportedly disposed of other body parts by boiling them in a pressure cooker and grinding them in a mixer to eliminate any foul smell.

The victim, Saraswati Vaidya, had been residing with Sahani in Geeta Nagar Phase 7 for the past three years. Residents of the building recalled that the couple kept to themselves and did not mingle with others. According to sources, Sahani was even seen feeding stray dogs in the neighborhood in the days leading up to the crime, which he had never done before. There are concerns that he may have fed some of the victim’s body parts to the animals, while the authorities are also investigating whether any remains were flushed down the drain.

Upon entering the apartment, the police were met with an overpowering stench and found various macabre scenes. A tree cutter was discovered in the hall, and black plastic was spread across the bed in the bedroom. The victim’s hair was found in the bedroom, and three buckets in the kitchen contained small pieces of the body submerged in blood.

Reacting to the horrific murder, NCP leader Supriya Sule expressed her outrage, describing the accused’s attempts to dispose of the body as “extremely gruesome, inhumane, and outrageous.” Sule emphasized that criminals in Maharashtra seem to have no fear of the law, and the incidence of crimes against women is alarmingly increasing.

The police have arrested Sahani and are in the process of registering an FIR against him for murder and destruction of evidence. A forensic team has been called in to collect samples and evidence from the apartment. The motive behind the murder and the precise execution method are still being investigated.

This shocking incident adds to a series of recent murders in Mumbai and its suburbs, highlighting the need for improved security measures and a stronger focus on crime prevention. The rise in crimes against women is a matter of grave concern, necessitating immediate action from law enforcement agencies and increased public awareness.

As the investigation unfolds, the chilling details of this gruesome murder continue to generate public outrage and demand justice for the victim. The incident serves as a grim reminder of the need for a swift and effective criminal justice system to ensure the safety and security of the people.
