Despite the setback, she revealed a backup plan for the Chicago show, with her “beloved brother/boss” Lil Wayne, whom she dubbed “the GOAT,” stepping in to perform at the Allstate Arena.

Minaj’s decision to bow out of the Jingle Ball Tour in Chicago comes as she gears up for the release of her highly anticipated album, “Pink Friday 2,” scheduled for Friday, Dec. 8. The Trinidadian native singer, while disappointed about missing the Chicago show, emphasized her commitment to fans and announced Lil Wayne as her replacement. Official concert listings on Ticketmaster confirm Lil Wayne’s inclusion in the lineup, which also features Jelly Roll, Big Time Rush, Doechii, (G)I-DLE, and Kaliii.

Remaining Tour Dates and Album Release

Despite the setback in Chicago, Minaj assured fans that she would still be performing at the Atlanta Jingle Ball on Dec. 14 and the Miami Jingle Ball on Dec. 16. She reiterated the album’s release date, emphasizing its significance as a birthday drop on Dec. 8.

The rapper, known for her bold statements, recently hyped up “Pink Friday 2,” calling it “beyond anything I could have imagined.” She also issued a warning to her detractors, stating, “If you’re on my $h!t list, you will never EVER recover. The. Fkng. End.” The album, marking Minaj’s return to music after a hiatus, boasts collaborations with heavyweights like Drake, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, Ariana Grande, and more.
