On Monday, Hyundai Motor India announced a 3.5 per cent increase in total sales, which amounted to 58,201 units in April, up from 56,201 units in April 2022. The automaker’s domestic wholesales surged by 13 per cent to 49,701 units last month from 44,001 units in the same period last year. Meanwhile, exports declined to 8,500 units from 12,200 units in April 2022. Hyundai Motor India COO Tarun Garg said that the strong growth was driven by the recently launched all-new Verna, which has more than doubled its volumes from the previous version. He added that the automaker is aiming to maintain this momentum with the upcoming launch of the Hyundai Exter SUV.
