Asim Jafri, a well-known Casting Director, who has previously worked on several short films, two feature films, and digital ads, has now taken on the role of Creative for an upcoming Haryanvi Song to be shot in Kanpur. We caught up with Asim to learn more about his new venture.
Asim has faced numerous challenges throughout his career, starting as a theatre artist immediately after graduation. He played the lead role of Chandu in the theatre play named Ek Aur Dronacharya, followed by the pivotal role of Swami Ramanand in Das Din ka Anshan. Asim’s successful theatre career saw him act in ten major plays, but he later decided to become a Casting Director.
To date, Asim has worked on casting for more than 15 projects, including the popular album Kahin Na Lage, which stars famous TV actress Navina Bole and Dr Abhinit Gupta in lead roles. With his vast experience in casting, Asim has now taken on the role of Creative for a Haryanvi Song.
